Xplore Tech – It’s All about Fun, Future and Friendship

I don’t know about others but I can speak for myself. I am working at Xplore Tech for past 4 years and so far my experience with the company has been good. The company has given a great start to my career; it has given me friends and has never made me feel that my workplace is dull. And that’s the reason why I recommend this place to all my family and friends.
When I joined Xplore Tech 4 years back, I was a graduate fresh out of college. I had no experience in calling, but had a flair for selling things. When I got my offer letter, the recruiter told me that I have to work really hard to improve in this field. I did my best, and my trainer and my team lead worked really hard to improve my skills. After a while I became confident about my skills and started working my magic on the floor. Twice I won the best employee award for my department. My colleagues congratulated me and cheered for me. They too were always very helpful and friendly in nature. I was told colleagues never make good friends. But at Xplore Tech, they were proven wrong.

Also working at Xplore Tech is not about all work and no play! We do have work pressure but also have adequate amount of fun elements to balance it. For example, we have our annual football and cricket tournaments. We even get trophies and medals for winning them. We also have ethnic dress competition, painting competition, rangoli competition, singing competition and so on. Trust me; these competitions are a lot of fun. I took part in a poster making competition on the theme “going back to the nature” and guess what? We won the first prize. I was so surprised! I never thought that I have a creative spark in me. Xplore Tech introduced me to that unknown facet of me.
And then we have an annual party where everyone has a gala time. We go to a nightclub or a restaurant and spend the night grooving to the music, drooling over the finest of food and rocking out the party. This is really a heartwarming experience.
So, if you want to have the right mixture of career, learning and fun, I will recommend you to join Xplore Tech – the one place where you can have it all!!!

Xplore Tech Aims To Retain Its Biggest Asset – Quality Manpower!

Gone are the days when people used to spend their entire work tenure in one company. Now people are more prone to changing jobs every now and then as a process to search for a better prospect, better salary and better future. This is especially true for the BPO companies who seem to follow a hire and fire rule while it comes to recruiting new workforce. But even in this fast-paced work culture, there are some companies who still have some old values left in them – they try to keep employees on board. No, I am not talking about the ideal world scenario. In fact, I can name a company which has this practice of retaining people – it’s the company that I am working for past 3 years – Xplore Tech Services Pvt. Ltd.

Now, you might have heard the exact opposite thing about Xplore Tech. They, like every other BPO have an extreme policy of hire and fire. But I beg to differ. In my 3 years working experience at Xplore Tech, I have seldom seen a person getting fired for no apparent reason. Most of those who were terminated by the company were getting warning letters on a continuous basis. Then, there were cases of extreme absenteeism, uninformed leaves as well as other behavioral issues.

Of course there are cases where people were terminated due to lack of projects, but the company hates to do away with their precious manpower and for that reason, they first try to absorb as many people to other processes as possible. In case they fail to do so, they ensure that the people whom the company has to say good bye are among the people who get the first call when they are recruiting for a similar process. There are very few companies in the BPO domain that do this.

Even when an employee leaves the company for a better opportunity, he or she maintains a healthy relationship with Xplore Tech to ensure when there’s opening for a deserving candidate; they will get a call from the company. Whatever may be the reason, no one really wants to leave this company unless they are getting a much better offer elsewhere, you see.

As for me, I am on the verge of completing my fourth year in this company and I hope I can stay in this company for at least five years. Then I will get that five-star blue ribbon. Looking forward to wear it like a proud Xplorer!

Why Xplore Tech is one of the best BPOs for those who stay alone in Kolkata

I am from Siliguri… I came to Kolkata for higher studies and after completing my studies, I joined a reputed BPO here – it’s Xplore Tech Services Pvt. Ltd. Though the company is not as well known as Wipro or IBM Daksh, it has carved its niche in the BPO domain in Kolkata with its high quality services. Being a part of this company, I feel blessed.

Don’t get me wrong- I am not saying that the other BPOs are not good. All I am saying is that at Xplore Tech I enjoy certain benefits that make it feel like home – and that’s all that matters.

I don’t have relatives in this city. So, I stay in a rented apartment with 3 other girls. The rent is payable within 5th of every month. But it so happens that most of my inmates don’t get their salary by that time. On the other hand, at Xplore Tech, my salary is credited in my account on the first of every month. (The downside of this is I end up paying the house rent).

Those who stay in a city all by themselves know how hard it is to do so. There’s rent, electricity bill, phone bills, grocery and a whole lot of other expenses that you have to bear. And if you don’t get your pay on time, you might end up in a mess. Thankfully, I never had to face any such crisis so far and I give all the credit to my company for that.

There’s another good thing about Xplore Tech that I must share with you. As I am a single child, I have to look after my parents who stay in Siliguri. If they fall ill all of a sudden, it becomes a problem for me to take leave to visit them. But our management is very understanding. More than once they have granted my leave that I had to take without prior notice owing to my father’s hospitalization. And the best part is that, in one occasion, they have marked it as a paid leave. I must admit, I badly needed the money! Also my co-workers were immensely helpful at that time. The amazing work environment at Xplore Tech helped me in my troubled time and I am sure that if anyone else faces a problem and communicates with the authority about the same, they will be more than willing to help you out at Xplore Tech.

Xplore Tech - A Good Stepping Stone For A Career In BPO

There are two sides of every coin. So before someone comes to a conclusion, one needs to check both sides. Similar is the case of getting an idea about a company. You need to hear both good and bad sides of the company and then make an informed decision.

Recently I came across a complaint board regarding Xplore Tech Services Pvt. Ltd, the company I am working with for past 5 years.  People there were outraged saying bad things about the company, management and stuff. I really felt bad about it. For Xplore Tech is a great place to begin a career. If you are willing to work hard, they will give you scope to climb up the success ladder. At least, it happened with me.

While I do not deny that there were a few issues regarding salary slip and other documents in the past, I would like to add that these are trivial matters that happen in every other company. It is also possible that you were mistreated by your TL. That’s unfortunate!  Most of the management people that I came across in Xplore Tech are approachable, helpful and understanding. They might have bad mood one day, but they are generally very friendly. The same thing goes with the HR department.

I would like to add a few things for those who blame the company for malpractices.  Many of these people take advantage of the company’s policies. While taking a leave they never inform their TLs.  Some of them leave the company without serving the notice period and then demand a release letter and payment (it is clearly stated in the appointment letter of the company that if you do not serve one months notice, you are not entitled to get release letter.). Funny thing is that, some people did not even bother to return their headsets and other equipments that belong to the company. In such cases, the company may take some steps to stop these people.

I am not saying that none were treated badly in this company. That will be stretching the facts a little bit too much. All I am saying is in most cases these people had a taste of their own medicine. And as a matter of fact, bad mouthing about your previous company does not make it the worst company to work with. It just shows you in a bad light.
